Unfortunately, I have jury duty so the students will be working with a sub. Students will begin class by trying to be a medieval scribe. Copying writing by hand is a difficult and time consuming process. This will lead into learning about the invention of the printing press by Johann Gutenberg.
Homework: paragraph comparing a modern invention to the printing press and its affect on mass communication.
